Emmanuel Puginier

Global Head of Marketing and Sales, General Medicine, Novartis Pharma AG

Emmanuel Puginier has served as a director since November 2007.  Dr. Puginier was appointed Global Head of Marketing and Sales General Medicines for Novartis Pharma AG in July 2007. Prior to this position, Emmanuel was Chief Operating Officer, Novartis Pharma Japan, and before that, CEO Novartis Pharma  Germany. Emmanuel joined Novartis in 1992 as a Brand Manager. He then became General Manager in Vietnam in 1994, and subsequently moved to France as a Business Unit Head. Emmanuel was Region Head EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in 2000 before moving to Germany in 2003. Prior to joining Novartis, Emmanuel worked as a physician in France and was Scientific Attaché at the French Embassy in Vietnam. Emmanuel holds an MD from Paul Sabatier University, France, an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, USA and completed executive training at Stanford University GSB, USA.
