Paul Fanning has served as senior vice president, human resources since January 2008. Paul joined the company as vice president, human resources in March 2004. Prior to joining Idenix, Mr. Fanning was employed by The Foxboro Company and its affiliates from 1984 to 2004, most recently as vice president, human resources at Invensys Process Systems from 2000 to 2004 and from 1998 to 2000 as vice president, human resources, Invensys Process Automation. Mr. Fanning holds an M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts.
Idenix has focused its efforts towards HCV due to the global unmet medical need for this viral disease. It is estimated that more than 170 million people worldwide are chronically infected with HCV.
